Everblue brings you the Non-stabilised Chlorine floater.
This product disinfects your pool water, treats green algae, clarifies, controls bacteria, balances and stabilises water levels and prevents “chlorine lock”. This floater is a patented design that allow pool owners to use ordinary granular chlorine in a long-lasting monthly floater format.
Ordinary granular chlorine is non-stabilised and highly active, but dissolves faster than stabilised chlorine. To overcome this the chlorine tablets in everblue Non-stabilised floaters are plastic-coated to restrict water flow and extend the life of the product, giving you the convenience you need while also minimising calcium residue deposits commonly associated with granular chlorine use.
Size: 1,5 kg. Usage (only use as directed):
The amount of chlorine released is determined by the number of holes to the OPEN position in the wall of the dispenser. Factors like water temperature, swimming activity, pool shape and filtration cycle significantly affect the rate at which chlorine dissolves.
These instructions serve as a guideline only and may therefore change from pool to pool or month to month (summer/winter). When first using this product prepare the water with a shock treatment using the everblue Active Shock or everblue Granular Chlorine.
Test your pool water regularly using a good test kit. Ensure your pH is always maintained at 7.2-7.6 and adjust when necessary. These floaters do not contain stabiliser (cyanuric acid) so check your stabiliser before using the product. If the cyanuric acid reading is below 30ppm add 100g stabiliser per 10, 000 litre to bring level to 40ppm. If above 50ppm it is not necessary to add any more, since 2-3 months use of this floater and regular backwashing will dilute the water and bring stabiliser levels closer to an optimal level of 40ppm (note that a stabiliser level of 80ppm and above interferes with chlorine and leads to chlorine lock).
Remove the label. Whilst holding the head of the product in one hand and the base of the product with the other, rotate the base until the appropriate holes are lined up with the corresponding outer holes. Gently place floater in your pool. Replace floater when it begins to lean over at an angle.
Before disregarding the floater, it is advisable to throw remaining particles into the weir. Remember: In winter pool temperatures can fall so low that chlorine dissolution virtually stops. This undermines disinfection and penetrates algae infestation. Cold water can also cause chlorine residue to crystallise on the outer aperture of the dispenser, leading to blockage. To overcome this, utilise the WINTER setting to allow more water flow through the container to aid dissolution. Fine suspended particles in the pool interferes with chemical treatment and shield algae spores. Chemical costs can be reduced through regular use (approx. every 2 weeks) of everblue Liquid Floc.
Warning: Handle with care. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed people, and animals. Do not mix with other chemicals. Always avoid contact with eyes and skin. An oxidising agent and powerful bleach. May cause fire, so avoid contact with heat, acids, moisture, combustible, or other organic materials.
Precautions: Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling this product and wash hand immediately after use.
Important: When replacing the floater ensure that the used container is rinsed with water before disposal. Do not attempt to refill the container.
First Aid: External: wash with cold water. Internal: Drink large quantities of water followed with Milk of magnesia or beaten white of raw egg. Seek immediate medical attention. This product is protected by International Patents.
